Faith in Action

At St. Catharine School, service is more than an activity, it’s a way of living our faith. Our students actively share their time, talents, and leadership in the local community and beyond, embracing opportunities to serve others with compassion, humility, and joy. Through projects, partnerships, and hands-on service, we guide students to put Gospel values into action and make a meaningful impact in the world around them.

Walk in Faith

This year’s Walk in Faith was a tremendous success!

From October 24 to November 6, students collected pledges to support school programs, assemblies, author visits, social projects, teacher appreciation events, and more. With a goal of $25,000, our students exceeded expectations and raised over $32,000!!

On Friday, November 7, the school community gathered for Mass before beginning the faith-based walk. Guided by the Spring Lake Police Department, students and faculty followed the route from SCS, past St. Catharine Church, across the bridge, around the lake, and back to school. Each class stopped at the church for a brief prayer.

We are proud of our students and grateful to everyone who donated to help SCS continue to flourish.

Saint Catharine’s Students Volunteer at The People’s Pantry in Asbury Park

Saint Catharine’s students recently spent the day volunteering at The People’s Pantry in Asbury Park, where they helped organize donations to support local families in need.

Through their service, students learned the importance of community, compassion, and working together to make a meaningful impact. Their efforts directly support neighbors facing food insecurity and remind us all of the power of giving back.

Saint Catharine’s School Spreads Thanksgiving Hope

Our school recently participated in our Annual Thanksgiving Food and Turkey Drive, supporting members of our community who are facing food insecurities. Thanks to the generosity of our students, families, and staff, all donations were delivered to the Mercy Center in Asbury Park, NJ.

The drive was a tremendous success and served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of compassion and service. Our students not only helped stock the shelves for local families in need but also learned the lasting value of giving back to their community.

Our SCS Fall Mum Fundraiser was a Blooming Success!

St. Catharine School is delighted to share that this year's Fall Mum Fundraiser was a wonderful success! Thank you to the generosity and support of our school families, parish community, and friends. The funds raised will directly benefit our students and school community.

A special thank you to our dedicated volunteers who worked tirelessly to organize, distribute, and deliver the flowers.

We are so grateful for the continued support that helps out school flourish--much like the beautiful mums that now brighten so many homes this fall!

Halloween Costume Drive

SCS Students Share the Spirit of Halloween

In the true spirit of giving, SCS students donated Halloween costumes to Catholic Charities to help local families in need enjoy a festive and fun Halloween.

This meaningful outreach effort allowed students to practice generosity and empathy while making a difference in the lives of other children. By sharing their costumes, SCS students helped ensure that every child has the chance to experience the joy and excitement of dressing up and celebrating the season.

Acts of kindness like this reflect the values at the heart of our school community—faith, compassion, and service to others.
